POLICIES
Shipping Policy
We use USPS Priority Mail, which is a very reliable service. However, there are times deliveries can be dropped at the wrong address or go missing due to package theft aka porch pirates. If the tracking shows your package was delivered and you claim you did not receive it, we cannot file a claim with the USPS. Unfortunately, we are not able to resolve these situations financially ourselves but we will do anything in our power to work on your behalf with the USPS to resolve any problems that may arise. If you have any concerns whatsoever, please let us know when placing your order and we can specify a signature delivery. This is possible for any size order but may require an additional payment.
Returns & Exchanges
Due to safety and contamination concerns, we are not able to resell any item after it has been shipped to a customer. Because of this we do not accept returns. Please be sure about your purchase before finalizing your order. Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been shipped.
Pre-Orders
All soaps on this site are currently made using the cold process method which requires a curing time of 4-6 weeks. Some items may be listed as a pre-order and, if purchased, will ship only after the date mentioned in the product description. This requirement is not only for your safety but to also ensure that you'll have a bar of soap that will be long lasting, completely satisfying, and ready to use the minute it arrives.
Custom Orders
Custom orders are perfect for anyone looking for a unique soulful soap for any occasion. Whether you looking for small guest sized bars or a full loaf please be sure to go to the contact page and leave your information along with any questions or requests you have.
Payments
All major credit cards are accepted. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information can cause a delay in processing, or cancellation of your order.
Soaps
No 2 bars are exactly the same. Our soaps are handcrafted and hand cut. Weights may vary slightly from bar to bar and batch to batch. That is the nature of most handmade soaps. Most of our soaps will range from 4 ounces to 5 ounces and will, over time, continue to evaporate water and lose a little weight. However, this makes for a finer, longer lasting soap bar despite the slight weight change.
Please understand that when you receive your soaps during humid weather conditions some of the soaps and boxes may be slightly damp from the natural "sweat" of the soaps. There is nothing wrong with your soap and it is not melting. It's absolutely safe to use. The wetness is just the glycerin and other natural humectants doing their job - which is to draw moisture.
Store your soaps in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Be sure to allow your soap to dry between uses and use a soap dish that offers drainage so the soap can dry effectively.
Soap Ingredients
We use high quality oils and butters in our soap recipes. Ingredient lists are provided for each product. All soaps contain sodium hydroxide (lye) which is essential to the process. But don't fear! The sodium hydroxide is completely neutralized in the saponification process. Our soaps are scented with fragrance oils or essential oils and we use various liquids - most often coconut milk - to keep most of our products vegan. However, we occasionally use buttermilk, cow's cream, goat's milk, etc. If it's vegan soap you want be sure to read the product description. Sometimes we use honey, coffee, teas, herbs, spices, pumpkin, tussah silk, and more to make exciting and unique specialty soaps. If you have any questions about ingredients, please don't hesitate to ask.
Ingredient Claims and Evaluations
CLEO Soaps are homemade products using all natural and synthetic products as noted in the "ingredient listing" under each product sold. Product claims and descriptions are based on available research (by outside parties, internet research, etc). If you have any questions about a product, please ask before purchasing. We are NOT physicians and can only offer personal advice from our own experience. For a concrete understanding of any particular ingredient and how it will react with your body - please contact your family physician or conduct your own personal research. *It is up to you to use your personal discretion when purchasing and using products from CLEO Soaps. As always, I recommend speaking with your health care provider prior to using any skin care product while pregnant and or while nursing. CLEO Soaps LLC is not responsible for injuries or accidents.
Allergy Warning
We use a variety of ingredients in our products. At some point, one ingredient may have been in contact with another ingredient. This is similar to a warning that says, "This product has been processed in a facility that also processes (fill in the blank)". We want the best for you and your skin so please contact us if you have questions!
